In the Italy GP weekend the rumour that Räikkönen would join Ferrari in 2014 escalated quickly.
The thing is Kimi Räikkönen may well be driving for Ferrari next year since the Brazilian Felipe Massa confirmed that he wouldn't be driving for Ferrari next year:

Also it's been said that Lotus was having problems negotiating with Kimi , meaning that they don't have the financial resources to maintain him in the team.
Witch also backs up the hypothesis of Kimi joining Ferrari.
It looks like it's only a matter of time for Ferrari to officially announce Kimi has their new driver. Still to be confirmed is who will Kimi team up with. Fernando Alonso is an obvious candidate, since he isn't doing a (particularly) bad job and he's loved by the Ferrari world. With Ferrari deciding that having two lead drivers will be a more effective way of securing success.
But there's also a (small) chance that Ferrari is completely renewing the team, witch would mean terminate the contract with Alonso. If that happens Nico Hulkenberg is a possibility for 2014, teaming up with Kimi, this, of course, being an very unlikely possibility.
